I find the words of Jesus fascinating. Why would he say that there is ONLY ONE THING THAT REALLY MATTERS!!!!!
This Bible Story can be found in Luke 10:38-42.
We all waste so much of the one thing we can never reuse, never re-live, never get back. The one thing that Jesus said matters so much. How do we spend our time. Do we waste it on useless, meaningless activities? Well, I can give everyone little slack, but if we never take the time to get to know Jesus, who he is and what he wants to say to us, then we will miss the ONE THING! THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS, according to Jesus.
I encouraged the children today to read their Bibles, and also to spend time in NOT JUST ASKING JESUS FOR STUFF IN PRAYER BUT ALSO TO TAKE TIME TO LISTEN.
I love your kids. We had an awesome time. It was hot outside and we played some games. Friendships are important and I believe our friendships with church kids are right there after our friendship with Jesus.
Ask your kids if they remember the memory verse.
Also, ask them if they remember what is so special about the Psalm 119.
Our memory verse today was Psalm 119:10 "I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands."
