Have you ever made a promise that you couldn't live up to? We explored promises made and promises received, and how no one is able to be 100% on the mark in living up to them - except GOD. Joshua 23:14 says, "You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed."
Please join your children in reading Psalm 91:15, Deuteronomy 31:8, Isaiah 41:10, John 3:16 and 1 John 1:9 for a sampling of God's promises. Can't find them?:>) Ask your children for some help as they have located at least one of these verses in the Bible themselves.
The bible story for this Sunday is found in Genesis 17-18:19, 21:1-7. Abram and Sarai have a name change and then a life change. Do you know what they are? Please check it out or ask your child to tell you. It is a great way to affirm their learning and to encourage them to seek God in their life as you emphasize the importance of scripture in your life.
Praise God! AND the bible verse for next Sunday is Psalm 119:11 in case your child(ren) want to get a "heart" start on memorizing it.
