DO YOU KNOW WHERE THE CITY OF UR IS LOCATED ON TODAY'S MAPS? WHAT IS THE CITY OF UR? This week in the 3rd & 4th grade classes met Abram whose hometown was the City of Ur. God took Abram on a journey, and God asked Abram to trust in His plan. The memory verse is Psalm 119:59-60, "I have considered my ways and have turned my steps to your statutes. I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands." This account is in Genesis 11:27 through chapters 12 and 13. The children took a look at how we make choices in different situations, and how as a member of God's family, we benefit from the Holy Spirit's presence to help us make the best decisions possible in any circumstances.
