Our 3rd and 4th grade Sunday School story last Sunday was about "The Bronze Snake". This event can be found in NUMBERS 20 and 21.
John 3:36 "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
The bronze snake attached to a pole is a picture of Jesus' death on the cross. After too many complaints and lack of trust in God, the Israelite camp was filled with the deadly snakes. God healed the Israelites when they showed their faith in Him by looking at the bronze snake. Gd heals and forgives us, too, as we look to Jesus, "the author and perfecter of our faith" (Hebrews 12 :2).
In what areas do we find it easy to continue to complain and/or show a lack of trust in God?
